While the State Games feature a multitude of sports, Taekwondo holds a special place this year. With tremendous growth in both Kyorugi (sparring) and Poomsae (forms), Arunachal Pradesh athletes are carving their name into the national circuit.

Names like Muskan Manyu, Khinsan Wangsu, Achum Sangha, Radha Bangsia and many more — who shone at the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand—are just a glimpse of the state’s potential. With more young stars rising, Arunachal is fast becoming a Taekwondo powerhouse in India.

Unlike many events in India where draws are done behind closed doors, we introduced a completely open and fair draw process, conducted live on Google Meet with over 14 district coaches witnessing the randomization process. This is Taekwondo as it should be—fair, visible, and professional.

CM Pema Khandu, while inaugurating the Games, stated:

“Arunachal Pradesh has recorded one of its best performances in the recently concluded 38th National Games, standing second among the Northeast states with 13 medals. We are committed to achieving a top 10 finish in the upcoming 39th National Games in Meghalaya. Under Mission Olympics, we’re ensuring our athletes receive top-notch training in India and, if needed, abroad.”
